The subject of the article is the identification of some natural organic dyes and pigments by the title method (LDMS). The advantage of LDMS is a rapid and reliable identification of low-molecular-weight dyes or pigment without chemical modification of samples. This method can be used for analysis of works of art or verification of their authenticity. The method was tested on organic dyes and pigments (e.g. alizarin, apigenin, baicalein, flavone, xanthone), four laks (alizarin, purpurin, chrysin, quercetin laks) and laks mixed with organic binders.
